Vegans in Budapest, where to eat?

Vegan in Budapest

You plan a trip to Budapest and you don’t know where to find vegan or raw vegan food? It is actually possible to find vegan restaurants since they are actually mushrooming around the city to serve a larger vegan population!

Here are my personal recommendations!

Napfenyes Etterem
Rozsa u 39, District VII (1077) (at Kiraly u.)

leves3

Napfenyes has a great selection of vegan dishes. Everything is vegan and delicious! they also serve vegan pizza and plates of veggies with seitan. Check my review here: http://vegansphere.blogspot.hu/2012/07/napfenyes-etterem-vegan-restaurant-in.html
Do not forget to try the carob chocolate and the vegan Somloi!

Le-bar
Múzeum Körut 19 (at Brody Sandor, Muzeum krt)

A cozy place to eat in a rush. Always crowded but the place is worth visiting. They have fresh juices, salads, pizza or vegan lasagna. Plus it is very inexpensive!

Mannatural Raw Vegan Restaurant
Garibaldi str 5. (1054) (at near Parliament)
 http://www.mannatural.hu/

By far, my favorite place! Even though the selection is limited, the portions are big and totally Raw vegan! Everything tastes amazing and natural! They also have a great selection of smoothies, raw milks and yummy raw vegan cakes!

Fruccola
1052 Kristof Ter 3

Lately I heard of Fruccola so I thought it would actually fit in this article.
This place isn't vegan nor raw but since you can create your own salad, it is! Plus they have fresh juices and smoothies!

Hummus Bar Oktober
V. ker. Október 6. str. 19 (1051)
 http://www.hummusbar.hu/

They serve large salads on a plate full of Hummus and they also have falafel or pita with falafel.
